Hoof Protection Transitioning

  • Shadydale Equine Center 295 Shelton Road Travelers Rest United States (map)

Due to unforeseen cirsumstances, this event is being postponed until 2025. Please check back frequently for rescheduled dates.

This class is designed for the hoof care professional. When working on horses in the field it is critical that you have the tools and knowledge to help an uncomfortable horse to soundness. Some of these products and protection devices are geared for horses that may need 24/7 protection. Others are for use when transitioning to terrains that are still not comfortable enough for bare hooves.

The new format to this class makes it user friendly for the horse owner as well. Being a 3 day class you can pick one, two or all three days to attend.

This is a 3 day class that starts at 9am and ends around 5pm. We will start class each day with an overview of the products we will be using that day, explaining the best course of action in different circumstances.

After getting an understanding of the products and their uses, we will spend the rest of the day practicing these techniques on cadaver legs.
